                                  TRANSPORTATION

                              PROVIDE-A-RIDE (PAR)

VOLUNTEER DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Provide transportation services to medical appointments and other 

   essential services for eligible elderly persons, 60 years of age or older.

● Provide transportation to those who do not drive, are unable to access 

   public transportation and have no family or friends who can assist them.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Valid Driver’s license

● Good Driving Record

● Proof of Insurance Coverage on Personal Vehicle

● Confidentiality

● Relates well to seniors- is patient, empathetic, a good listener

● Enjoys driving and spending time with seniors or people with  

   special needs

●Would not be a known risk to vulnerable seniors in an isolated

   setting

● Punctual and reliable

● Willing to escort door to door and to assist clients as needed within

    the boundaries of the position

● Knowledge of driving area, able to navigate to locations

● A safe driving record

● Access to a vehicle that is roadworthy, reliable and suitable for client needs

● No health conditions that may impair ability to drive safely (including vision,

   hearing, perception, reflexes)

● Good judgment; able to gauge client and driving conditions

● Physically able to offer support to frail clients

● Trustworthy
